| Looking down from the eastern foothills over vineyards
to the village of Arlesheim.
Arlesheim Dom (cathedral) is visible centre left.

Arleshein
Dom.
The cathedral is in the baroque style and seems out of
place in this small village.
Arlesheim is in Basel Land, but the urban corridor has
grown into Basel Stadt. |

Arlesheim Dom interior view |
| Composite of the Dom's ceiling, High Altar, and two figures from the
pulpit (lower left and right). |

Central Apse of Arlesheim Dom.
The inside 'dome' is tromp l'oeil painting and actually only slightly
dome shaped.
In the centre can be seen a 'ray of light' |
| Reflection of the exterior of Arlesheim Dom in a Tuba.
When I visited,
there had been a wedding and the couple were feted by their friends in a
loud Guggenmusik band.

| Arlesheim street market in late autumn.
Onion sales seemed robust.. |

|
|
Serious cow bells. More used for decoration these days.

|
A hot item this autumn....
White tiger slippers.

Reflections of the Arlesheim street market area in a tuba. A small 12 piece band was playing. And no, it wasn't a Guggenmusik band!
