CelsiusTech Australia Pty Ltd is a leader in defense software oriented projects, having successfully designed and developed the large scale command and control and fire control systems for the ANZAC Ship project. The delivery of the system on time, within budget and fully functional was a world first. The company also produces many products using COTS technology in several other projects for military use. In all cases, use of comprehensive Project Management and Cost Schedule control processes aided in achieving schedule and budget constraints. The company has created and developed tailored project processes relevant to the products produced.

Responsible for implementing a quality system meeting AS3901 and AS3563 quality standards in the company start-up phase from 1991.
The AS3901 certification was achieved within 7 months of appointment, with the small team of employees. Certification to AS3563 (Software Quality Management Systems) was completed a year later with minimal rework of quality procedures. As part of this role, worked with customers and suppliers to optimize partnering and quality management efforts.
In 1996, led an internal consultancy looking at Information Technology needs of the company for the next three to five years and served on the MIS Steering Committee. The MIS function was subsequently incorporated into the Information Services department. As part of the company Executive Management Team, he has been involved in the strategic and operational management of the company. This has included reshaping the company Vision,
Mission, Goals and Strategies as the company developed and grew over time from a small technology transfer startup to a successful, medium sized, profitable business.
In 1995, the company was reassessed and certified to ISO9001:1994 and maintains 3rd party Quality Certification.
Led a team of various employees and the Software Quality Institute to define and use software performance metrics to aid software process capability evaluation and improvement. A Qualified assessor using the ISO15504 standard (SPICE). Project processes have been extensively modified to better suit the products produced resulting in higher ISO15504 capability maturity. Modifications to the International Standard and the nationally recognized training course have been made based on own input.

Held several positions in the Civil Aviation Authority (formerly the Australian Department of Aviation).
At various stages in the project life, was the Project Engineering Manager (project team size 25 persons) responsible for delivery and roll out of a message switch and data communications network (Dataflash). In earlier project roles as system designer, software developer and test and acceptance engineer for the Dataflash message switching project, and X.25 data communications network. The Dataflash system comprised 14 computers
providing a extremely high availability network across Western Australia. A significant extension using satellite technology to connect South Australia was completed in 1986 (the second such application of satellite data technology in Australia at that time).
Tender Team Leader to write Request For Tenders for computer based training in 1988 and for an Australia wide data communications network in 1989.
Quality Assurance Manager in 1989 and performed this role (including quality audits) for potential suppliers for the data communications tenders. This was in addition to his role as a technical expert for data communications.
